Sugar Maple Trees For Sale
Sugar Maple trees thrive best in Zones 3-8 Sugar Maple trees are probably the most recognizable and iconic types of Maple trees. In the more northern parts of the eastern United States on up into Canada, whole nurseries exist for tapping Sugar Maple trees for its prized sap used in making delicious Maple Syrup. Sugar Maple leaves also explode with spectacular colors during the fall, displaying colors all the way from yellow, through orange, to a radiant, vibrant orange-red. Sugar Maple trees are one of the most shade-tolerant deciduous trees and can grow in pretty much any type of soil except sand. Though it thrives best in deep, textured, moist soil that is also well-drained. They can also grow to heights of around 80 - 100 ft. They are ideal for planting near surrounding plants as they absorb water by drawing it from lower layers of soil into higher, typically drier soil layers which not only waters the Sugar Maple, but also those other plants you may have surrounding it. Though, be careful planting the Sugar Maple alongside roads where salt is commonly and often used for de-icing purposes as Sugar Maples cannot tolerate higher levels of salt exposure. For landscaping purposes, the Sugar Maple is usually chosen as a more ornamental tree due to its fantastic fall displays. Information on some of the other popular varieties of trees we carry...
