White Spruce trees can grow in more acidic soils, and thrives in well-drained loams and clay soil types as well as full sun. Due to its nativity to the far north, it is durable and can withstand high heat and drought. The White Spruce requires little maintenance and can grow dense and symmetrical with little in the way of shearing and pruning.
